COUPLES THERAPY

It’s not about being a perfect couple —it’s about finding your way back to each other.

Who We Serve:

BIPOC/Immigrant couples – We understand that love exists within the context of culture, history, and identity. For many BIPOC and Immigrant couples, relationship dynamics can be shaped by shared experiences of resilience, as well as the challenges of navigating systemic inequities. In our work together, we honor your cultural identities while supporting you in building a strong, connected partnership that reflects your shared values and vision for the future.

Interracial and cross-cultural couples – We support couples navigating differences in racial identity, ethnicity, or cultural background, including the complexities of privilege and cultural expectations. Our work together focuses on fostering open dialogue, mutual respect, and meaningful integration of your traditions and identities so you can strengthen your relationship while embracing your differences.

LGBTQ+ couples – We offer an safe, affirming and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ partners to explore relationship challenges, celebrate identity, and deepen emotional connection. Together, we address the unique experiences and systemic challenges that can impact queer relationships, while honoring the authenticity and resilience you bring to your partnership.

How We Help:

Our approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps couples understand and shift the patterns that keep them stuck in conflict or disconnection. Often, disagreements aren’t just about the surface issue—they reflect deeper emotions, needs, and fears that may not be fully expressed or understood.

In our sessions, we help you:

Identify negative patterns – We work together to see the recurring cycles that create tension or misunderstandings in your relationship.

Explore attachment needs - We help each partner understand their own and each other’s attachment styles, so you can recognize how fears of abandonment or rejection show up in conflicts and communication.

Tune into deeper feelings – Many conflicts stem from emotions that aren’t fully expressed or understood. We help you notice and share these vulnerable feelings, so both partners feel seen, heard, and connected.

Express needs safely – We guide you in sharing your emotional needs without blame or criticism, creating a space for authentic connection.

Resolve conflicts constructively – By focusing on emotions rather than blame, you learn to handle disagreements in a way that deepens connection rather than drives distance.

Whether your challenges stem from communication patterns, cultural differences, or identity-related stressors, we help you navigate these experiences together—building a stronger, more resilient relationship where both partners feel valued and understood.
