“ I believe that life can feel heavy, especially when we carry unspoken stories, unanswered questions, or ways of being that once served us but no longer feel helpful. My number one priority is creating a space where you feel understood, celebrated, and empowered to explore whatever parts of your experience are most important to you.

My Story

As a third-culture individual, I understand what it can feel like to live between different worlds. I was born in Romania, raised in a Chinese household and culture, and later moved to the United States for my education and professional training. These experiences have taught me that our perspectives are shaped by the cultures we grow up in, the relationships we build, and the environments that influence us throughout our lives. They have also shown me that identity is not something fixed, but something that continues to evolve as we move through different stages of life and encounter new experiences.

My journey has taught me that many of life's challenges do not fit neatly into a single category. We may often find ourselves balancing multiple identities, navigating conflicting expectations, or questioning whether we truly belong. Living between cultures has shown me that it is possible to feel connected to multiple places while also feeling as though you don't fully belong in any one of them.

I believe that healing begins when we are given the opportunity to explore these complexities without judgment, make sense of our experiences, and embrace the many parts of who we are. These experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy.

I believe that, at our core, human beings are meant to be in connection with one another. There are times in all of our lives when we need someone to walk alongside us; not to tell us who to become, but to help us better understand ourselves. I believe that all of us have an innate ability for growth, and that one of the greatest privileges is being able to support another person as they discover themselves and their potential. My hope is to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel genuinely seen, understood, and empowered to explore your lived experiences with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity.

My Approach and Specialities

My approach to therapy is grounded in person-centered and relational approach. I hope to create a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered. I also draw from CBT, DBT, somatic therapy, and other approaches based on your unique needs.

I am passionate about supporting young adults and individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and questions of belonging. As someone who has navigated multiple cultures, I have a particular interest in working with multicultural individuals and those exploring how their backgrounds influence their sense of self and connection with others. I value the connection between the mind and body and incorporate mindfulness, grounding, and body awareness practices to help my clients build greater presence, self-compassion, and resilience. Together, we can create meaningful and authentic change.

Outside of the therapy space..

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy staying active through basketball, running, and strength training at the gym. I love following the basketball season and try to catch a Knicks or Nets game whenever I have the chance. I also enjoy exploring different food spots throughout the city and finding comfort in cooking some of my favorite meals at home, which has become a meaningful way for me to slow down, be creative, and reconnect with myself.
