My Story

I moved to New York City to work as a journalist. I was the first traditional college graduate in my family, and I had scored a dream job in a big city. Surely I had life all figured out, right?! I had always loved building relationships, listening to people’s stories, and honoring the importance of what they had to share with a well-crafted narrative. But I wasn’t very skilled at listening to myself and telling my own story. That’s where therapy came in and changed my life for the better.

I believe that life can feel heavy, especially when we carry unspoken stories, unanswered questions, or ways of being that once served us but no longer feel helpful. I know from personal experience that exploring these parts of you with someone else takes immense courage. I hope to honor that bravery in every client by nurturing a relationship where they feel understood, celebrated, and empowered to heal at their own pace.

I am passionate about considering how culture and the systems we live in impact us. On our journey, you are the expert on your personal experience, and I’ll walk with you as we explore it - not to "fix" you, but to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been silenced or pushed aside. Together, we’ll consider what a more authentic and fulfilling life might look like for you, on your terms.

My Approach and Specialities

I see starting (or restarting) therapy as an intensely brave and personal process. We each have our own reason for seeking a place to heal, and I hope to honor your unique experience by taking a unique approach to our relationship. My number one priority is creating a space where you feel understood, celebrated, and empowered to explore whatever parts of your experience are most important to you. I draw on psychodynamics, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapies to support our work together. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and deeply considerate of how the systems we live in impact how we show up in our mind, body, and spirit.
